Nice and Large
The media could not be loaded.
Firstly, I have a kitchenaid mixer. However, the bowl is too small for making more than one loaf of bread. Not wanting to spend a $1000 on a larger one, I came across this brand. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. If I did not like it, at least I would not break the bank. We cannot return items as I live in the Caribbean and the shipping costs more than the products. It arrived on time and undamaged. The size comparison to my old mixer is amazing. I have to admit I was skeptical when I opened it up as it felt cheap. Even lifting it up I thought I had made a mistake buying this. But I decided to give it a try and made bread. I have to say within the first 4 seconds I was in love. The dough hook is amazing and quite large. I took comparison pictures to show the differences. The whip and mix hooks are also quite large. I did not have to keep stopping the mixer and pushing the dough of the top of the hook like I previously did. It kneaded the bread for 10 minutes without any issues. It suctions to the counter and does not move around. I bake bread every other week so I will do a review again after 3-6 months to let you know how it held up. So far I would recommend buying this mixer.

Great mixer at a great price!
This is a nice stand mixer especially at the price point! I had a KitchenAid and although it was nice, I never felt like the attachments went deep enough in the bowl to thoroughly mix whatever I was mixing – so I would end up hand mixing it! This mixer the attachments are deep in the bowl and it mixes well at all speeds. I also like the flatter top profile- it fits under my cabinets well- it is a little noisy but so was my Kitchenaid

Strong, quiet and great design.
My hand mixer literally blew up and I decided to upgrade. I spent days comparing models, accessories, specs, etc. I was looking at Kitchen Aid, but as good as everyone says they are, it’s just too much to invest in a mixer that’s not used every day. What attracted me to the Cook Lee brand was, first, the price on Amazon, that was made even better by a “coupon” savings and my bonus points. Second (having spent most of my life in graphic design) was the actual design of the mixer. Nothing you have to hide in a cabinet! It’s about half the weight of a Kitchen Aid. Which leads me to one small point: in the “compare with” section on Amazon, material was listed as “aluminum”. I know it wasn’t meant for the accessories, becasuse they had their own material description. It’s a heavy duty plastic body, but it’s not aluminum. Regardless, what isn’t plastic today? The suction cups on the bottom are formidable, almost like wrestling with an octopus! Lift it all up at once, because if one of them catches the counter top again, it sticks! Which is good, because the mixer DOES shimmy a little on higher speeds, but the machine stays put very firmly. The biggest surprise was the quietness of operation. I thought it might be noisier because it has a 600+watt motor–stronger than many other brands, including Kitchen Aid. So that was a surprise. The spatter cover is a nice extra, and the stainless steel 9.5 quart bowl has a handle and it twist-locks to the base. I’ve tried the various attachments and speeds and different weight doughs, just to inaugurate the mixer properly and see if there were any negatives. Well, one. But it’s a reverse-negative in that I’m mentioning the bowl is too BIG. It was fine for all I used it for, but there will come a time when a smaller bowl would be more practical, so I’v checked with the manufacturer and am awaiting a reply. All in all, if you’re not completely convinced that Kitchen Aid is the ONLY good mixer, this one is highly recommended. Weight wise, it’s easy enough that almost anyone can handle it, so if you store it in a cabinet you don’t need to call for help to hoist it out. I don’t have the cabinet space, so it doubles as a mixer and a piece of sculpture!

I love almost everything about this mixer
I wanted a large capacity mixer so that I could make double batches of goodies. I love how well this mixes batters; how quiet it is and the speed variations. The splatter shield fits well over the top of the bowl and lifts with the beater which is nice. 2 things I would change if it were me…. 1 – need a spout vs just the opening in the spatter shield. Need something to angle out from under the head as with the current opening positioned almost under the head – can’t really pour into the opening in the shield, or crack eggs or add ingredients without stopping the mixer and lifting the head for most steps. Without the splatter shield, I could add dry ingredients – but couldn’t get the angle right for adding eggs or canned pumpkin. 2nd thing would be some sort of option to be able to bring the mixing head back down without having to unlock. It locks open – and locks closed – but takes 2 hands to both raise and lower the mixing head. I’m fine with it locking into position – but would just like to be able to unlock and lower with one hand. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase.

Very large stand mixer — powerful and effective
I bought this to see if I liked a kitchen stand mixer since I was reluctant to pay the high price of the expensive name brand for something I wasn’t sure how often it would be used. So far over the past month, it hasn’t left my island and I’ve used it weekly.I found the enormous bowl with a splash guard give me plenty of space to make whatever I want, including recipes for large quantities of bread. I have used it five times this past month to make bread and it has worked extremely well. The dial on the side is easy to access and use, the splash guard is great for preventing messes yet there is a large hole to pour in additional ingredients or carefully scrape the side of the bowl. It comes with three attachments, which are really all I need. It does not have the ability to add additional parts like the more pricy brands, but I don’t think I’ll need those attachments anytime soon. When it is kneading the bread, the suction cups on the bottom of the mixer are strong and it adheres to my counter perfectly without any movement. I read in other comments that it is noisy, but since I don’t know what to compare it to, I don’t find it to be that bad (I expected a lot worse noise based on some reviews).I told several friends about this item already and would recommend it to anybody who is just testing the waters with a stand mixer but don’t want to pay the high price for one.

Kitchen aid
What I like about this kitchen aid it’s light weight and powerful. What I don’t like about this product is it’s made from plastic does not catch the sides so you constantly have to keep stopping it ,to scrape down the sides of whatever you are making.Plus it has a very strong suction when it on your counter which is good. But I was afraid of trying to move it with that suction it would fall apart because of the material it’s made from.

This works well for mixing cookie dough. The color is very pretty also.

Good product
This is a really good product. The PROs from switching from my Kitchen Aid: I love the 9.5 quart bowl and can make double and triple recipes. The splash guard is a lot better as it goes around the whole bowl. It’s significantly cheaper. I read people complaining about the sound, but it is a kitchen appliance with a motor, so I didn’t expect it to be quiet. It’s not excessively loud (IMO). It’s a lot lighter weight too. Oh, and it’s a pretty purple color! The CONs – the mixer attachment does not come as close to the bottom/sides of the bowl, so you’ll have to stop and scrape it down during/after.I’ve only used it about a dozen times now, so I can’t comment on its’ longevity.

Recommended Accessories
You have to scrape down the bowl a lot during your mixing process. It would be a great benefit if Cooklee made a flex beater that would reach the sides of the bowl to reduce stopping the mixer to scrape.

Needs handle on bowl
The bowl did not come with a handle so it makes it harder to get the bowl off the stand.
