    Good price, good fan

    My much more expensive wood ceiling fan died recently and needed a replacement, so I got this less expensive one. It’s almost as nice to look at, and about one-quarter the price.Most modern ceiling fans use a remote-control system; when they break they can’t be simply fixed. I wish I could get a nice-looking wood all-mechanical fan for a decent price, but I can’t. I’m never going to buy an expensive remote-control fan again, because they break. If/when this one breaks, I’ll replace it with the same (if still available) or similar.

    The fan hanger is larger than standard. Beware.

    Ended up returning this fan. The hanging bracket was larger than the bracket we used for our previous hunter fan. This would have required drilling new holes in the ceiling that were further out than the previous hanger. This concerned me in case I didn’t like the fan I would now have new holes in my ceiling that might not be covered by the a smaller collar. I started to think that perhaps the fan was just too big in general for my bedroom and decided to just return it and buy a different fan.
