Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights – Surprising More The Practical
More Than Just a Ceiling Fan – Surprisingly Practical
Most ceiling fans do one thing: move air. The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights does much more – and the “surprising more the practical” name is not just marketing. This fan delivers features you would expect to pay twice as much for: an ultra-silent DC motor, a dimmable tunable white LED light, a full-function remote control, and optional smart home integration – all in a flush mount low-profile design that fits ceilings as low as 8 feet.
Whether you need a fan for a cramped bedroom, a humid covered patio, a modern living room, or a home office that doubles as a guest room, the Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights 52″ ceiling fan delivers powerful, silent, energy-efficient performance. The sleek black finish complements industrial, farmhouse, mid-century modern, and contemporary USA home decor. Five aerodynamic blades move air without wobble or noise. And the reversible DC motor saves money on both cooling and heating.

Ultra-Silent DC Motor – 35dB of Pure Quiet
The heart of the Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights is its brushless DC motor. Unlike traditional AC motors that hum, click, and generate heat, this DC motor operates at just 35 decibels – quieter than a library, quieter than a refrigerator, nearly as quiet as your own breathing.
-
No humming at low speeds.
-
No clicking when changing directions.
-
No wobbling when properly installed.
-
6 speed settings from a gentle “barely there” breeze to powerful 5,200 CFM airflow.
Because the motor is brushless, there are no brushes to wear out, no capacitors to fail, and no belts to snap. This Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights is built to run silently for years.
-
Flush Mount Low Profile – Perfect for 8-Foot Ceilings
Standard Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights with downrods hang 12–18 inches from the ceiling. On an 8-foot ceiling (96 inches), that leaves only 78–84 inches of clearance – dangerously close to a 6-foot tall person’s head. USA building codes require a minimum of 7 feet (84 inches) from floor to fan blades.
The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights mounts directly to the ceiling with no downrod required. Total height from ceiling to the bottom of the light kit is just 7.5 inches. On an 8-foot ceiling, the fan sits at 88.5 inches from the floor – well above code requirements and safely out of head-bumping range.
Compatible ceilings:
-
8-foot ceilings – perfect fit
-
9-foot ceilings – ideal
-
10+ foot ceilings – also works (you can add an extension downrod if desired, sold separately)
-
-

Energy Efficient – 70% Less Electricity
The DC motor in the Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights uses 70% less electricity than a comparable AC motor fan. Running this fan 24 hours a day, 7 days a week costs less than $2 per month based on the USA average electricity rate of $0.14 per kWh.
Compare that to an old AC fan costing $10–15 per month. The Roomratv fan pays for itself in energy savings within 12–18 months.
Reversible airflow doubles your savings:
-
Summer mode (counterclockwise): Creates a wind chill effect, allowing you to raise your thermostat by 4°F without feeling warmer.
-
Winter mode (clockwise): Pushes warm air trapped at the ceiling back down to living level, reducing furnace run time by up to 15%.
-
-

Dimmable Tunable White LED – 1,800 Lumens
The integrated Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights kit produces 1,800 lumens – as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb – while using only 18 watts.
You have complete control over both brightness and color:
Setting Range Best For Brightness 10% – 100% Night light to task lighting Color Temperature 2700K – 6500K Warm sunset to cool daylight Presets include Soft White (2700K), Bright White (4000K), and Daylight (6500K). The fan remembers your last setting, so you never have to readjust.
The LED is rated for 50,000 hours. At 8 hours of daily use, that is nearly 17 years before you need to replace the fixture.
-

Complete Control – Remote Included, Smart Optional
The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights includes a full-function remote control with LCD screen and wall mount bracket. The remote controls:
-
Power on/off
-
6 fan speeds
-
Light brightness (10%–100%)
-
Light color temperature (2700K–6500K)
-
Fan direction (summer/winter)
-
Timer (1, 2, 4, or 8 hours)
Optional smart upgrade: For buyers who want voice control, the Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights also supports WiFi connectivity (hub required – sold separately). Add the optional WiFi dongle to enable:
-
Alexa voice control
-
Google Assistant voice control
-
App control from your phone
-
Scheduling and scenes
Note: The fan works perfectly as a traditional remote-controlled fan without the WiFi dongle. Smart features are optional, not required.
-
-

Indoor & Outdoor Rated – Damp Location Approved
The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights carries a damp location rating (UL Standard 507). This means it is certified safe for:
-
Covered patios and porches (where rain does not directly hit).
-
Sunrooms and three-season rooms.
-
Bathrooms (not directly over a shower or tub – that requires wet rating).
-
Coastal homes (the black finish resists humidity better than white painted fans).
Do not install in fully exposed outdoor locations where rain or sprinklers directly hit the fan. For those applications, choose a wet-rated Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights.

Pain & Gains (What Hurts – What Heals)
The Pain (Problems with Old or Cheap Ceiling Fans)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – (Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights)
Q1: I have an 8-foot ceiling. Will this fan hit my head? Is it really safe for low ceilings?
A: Yes, the Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights is specifically designed for 8-foot ceilings. The flush mount design has a total height of just 7.5 inches from ceiling to the bottom of the light kit. On an 8-foot ceiling (96 inches), the fan sits at 88.5 inches from the floor.
USA building codes (NEC and IRC) require a minimum of 7 feet (84 inches) from floor to fan blades. The Roomratv blades sit at approximately 89.8 inches from the floor – nearly 6 inches above code minimum. A 6-foot tall person (72 inches) has almost 18 inches of clearance above their head.
You will not hit your head. This fan is safe for bedrooms, hallways, basements, and any room with 8-foot ceilings. For ceilings lower than 8 feet (rare in USA homes), we do not recommend any ceiling fan.
Q2: Is this fan really quiet? I have bought “quiet” fans before that started humming after a few months.
A: The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights operates at 35 decibels – quieter than a whisper (30 dB) and quieter than a refrigerator (40 dB). But your concern about fans getting louder over time is valid.
Why Roomratv stays quiet: The fan uses a brushless DC motor. Traditional AC motors have:
-
Brushes that wear down (causing clicking)
-
Capacitors that fail (causing humming)
-
Bearings that dry out (causing grinding)
The Roomratv DC motor has no brushes, no capacitors, and sealed lubricated-for-life bearings. It is direct drive (no belts or gears). There is nothing to wear out and create noise.
That said, improper installation can cause noise. The most common USA installation mistakes:
-
Blades not balanced – use the included balancing kit.
-
Loose mounting screws – tighten after 30 days of use.
-
Junction box not fan-rated – a standard light box flexes, causing wobble and noise. Your box must be rated for 30 lbs.
Follow the instructions, and your Roomratv fan will stay silent for years.
Q3: Can I install this fan on my covered patio in a humid state like Florida or Louisiana?
A: Yes. The Roomratv Ceiling Fans With Lights carries a damp location rating (UL Standard 507). This means it is tested and certified for high-humidity environments like Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and coastal South Carolina.
However, there is an important distinction for USA homeowners:
-
Damp rated = Safe for covered patios, porches, sunrooms, and bathrooms where rain does not directly hit the fan. High humidity is fine.
-
Wet rated = Required for fully exposed locations like an uncovered deck, gazebo with open sides, or anywhere sprinklers or rain directly hit the fan.
If your patio has a roof (even a screened roof), you are fine. If rain can fall directly onto the fan, you need a wet-rated fan. For 99% of covered USA patios and porches, damp rating is correct and sufficient. The black finish resists humidity better than white painted fans.

It really is amazing! Works beautifully with Alexa.
I’ve only had the fan for one day, so I have no idea about longevity. But, as far as functionality, it is amazing. Install and setup was a little complicated (and I’m a long time IKEA furniture builder with a strong technical background). The listing says that there is an install video available, but there isn’t really one. There is a sketch of the install in one of the product photo/videos. There is also a manual. Both seemed a little off. For example, there was a recommendation to install the light bracket on the motor first, then the blades and it can’t be done in that order. Also, it really required that you remove the metal plate where the light bracket goes in order to install the blades and the nut that holds that plate in place was challenging to remove. There was also a bit of jiggling and juggling required to install the drop shaft and it’s related components. And, of course, there were a few snags in app and Alexa setup. In the manual, there is a QR code. When you scan it, you get taken to a page in the Google app store that does not exist. When you search for “SmartEra” in the Google app store, as suggested in the manual, there is no such app. Somehow, I discovered that there is a Tuya app (name totally unrelated to product or company name of the fan) and that worked like a charm. I downloaded and installed the Tuya app, created an account, signed in and it recognized the fan pretty quickly. Then I added in my 2.5GHz wifi SSID and pswd and that worked. After doing that, it seemed like the device was added to Alexa automatically. Then, I had to experiment around with a few different commands to get the fan to do all the things I wanted it to do. Although the manual didn’t tell me these commands, they were intuitive and they did work. Here are the commands I tried using (I named my fan “Smart Fan”):- Alexa, turn Smart Fan on- Alexa, turn Smart Fan off- Alexa, turn Smart Fan light on- Alexa, turn Smart Fan light off- Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 1- Alexa, set Smart Fan speed to 6Even though it was a bit of a struggle, now that I got it all together, it looks great and works great. The fan produces a ton of air flow even at speed 1. And speed 6 is almost too intense. And the light is super bright (if you want it to be). I also like that I can make the light a very warm, yellowish color (although you can choose cooler colors if you like). And, although installation was a little tricky, I didn’t need to do anything to balance the fan blades. No wobble at all. Overall, I highly recommend this fan!

Quiet and easy to setup/install
These fans are amazing! Easy to install and set up. They connect easily to a 2.4/5GHz WiFi router. Setup in the Tuya app, which connects to Google Home/Alexa. It is easy to setup voice commands to turn on/off the lights and fan. The fans have 6 speeds and are reversible. The remote control is easy to connect, although once connected to WiFi the remote is not really needed. I love the way the white fan looks.

Great bright fan with lots of settings.
The fan came very well packed and compact. It was straight forward to put together and came with everything but the two AAA batteries.I had one small problem once I had it installed. The fan worked fine, but the light wouldnt turn on. I had to take the light off and discovered the pins on the connector were not inserted correctly and I had to push them back on. Light worked fine after that. Nice and bright. I like all of the settings. I didn’t need to balance it at all either. Pretty good value for the money.

Easy, quiet, alexa!
I recently purchased this smart fan in black, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The fan comes with an easy-to-use remote control, making it a breeze to adjust the settings from anywhere in the room. What impressed me the most is the fan’s quiet yet powerful performance. It creates a strong breeze without the distracting noise that you often get with other fans. The integrated light is fantastic. Not only is it bright enough to light up the entire room, but I also love the ability to adjust both the brightness and the warmth of the light to suit my mood and needs. The fan timer function is incredibly convenient, allowing me to set it and forget it. I can fall asleep to a gentle breeze and have it automatically turn off after a set time.Pairing this fan with Alexa was a breeze. The setup process was straightforward and took no time at all. It responds well to Alexa commands and programming, adding a level of smart control that I truly appreciate. The installation was a pleasant surprise as well. I was able to install it on my own within 30 minutes, thanks to clear instructions and well-designed components. In summary, this smart fan is a fantastic addition to my home. It’s easy to use, quiet, and efficient, with smart features that make it a standout choice. If you’re looking for a stylish and functional fan that can be controlled with ease, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

what a smart fan should be
I’m really enjoying my Roomratv Ceiling Fan! It’s a great size and puts out a ton of wind, perfect for keeping cool on hot days. Installation was a breeze, and the smart features with the app are fantastic.Using Alexa is a game-changer. I can control everything – turning the light and fan on or off, setting timers, scheduling routines – all with voice commands. No more hunting for the remote or getting up to adjust the light! The built-in light is big and bright, and the fan itself is incredibly quiet, with just an occasional faint hum that’s barely noticeable.iit came perfectly balanced out of the box, but it also included a balancing kit in case it needed some tweaking – a thoughtful touch that saved me a lot of time and hassle. this fan is a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful, quiet, and smart fan.

Do Not Buy This Fan
Do not buy this fan. This product is very dangerous and poorly made. I bought this fan in 2023 and it fell from the ceiling in the middle of the night few days ago. I wish i could get this product a negative star. My kids have been traumatized by this which will stay with them forever. They aren’t sleeping in other rooms because of the fear that those fans may fall as well because they were also purchased from Amazon but from a different retailer. It also damaged the floor.

Wonderful ceiling fan!
I purchased this ceiling fan to replace an ancient, totally worthless fan in our master bedroom. We live in Arizona, and, unfortunately, our bedroom is the hottest room in the house, so having an ineffectual ceiling fan has been extremely frustrating, to say the least. After researching and reading through the reviews, I decided to purchase this 52″ fan. My son-in-law installed it a few days ago, and I have been kicking myself ever since because I don’t know why I waited so long! It’s amazing, and a total game changer. I love the 6 different speeds, the LED light and dimmer, and having a very convenient remote control. The amount of air this fan moves is impressive, and I don’t even need to have it on the top settings because it works so well. I’m very happy and satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommend this ceiling fan. There are fancier, more expensive fans available, but I find this one to be more than adequate.I haven’t had it for very long, so I will update this review if any issues develop.
